After dropping Dylan off at baseball practice yesterday I stopped at St. Athanasius Orthodox Church in Nicholasville. I had a hunch that the priest might be there. Well - he was - Father David Rucker. Fr. David was a lifelong Methodist who served with his wife in Hong Kong as missionaries. They came to Asbury to work on doctorate and in the process he became Orthodox. I am looking forward to coffee and the complete narrative.

The highlight was Fr. David praying for me. All I can say is that I sensed real holiness. It was a powerful prayer about me continually embracing repentance - very eastern orthodox.
