Good day at church yesterday.

A friend who is now in the military called yesterday. He is now a chaplain and will be leaving for Iraq in three days. He will be working with a Signal Corps unit. He couldn't tell me exactly where he will be, but it is in the Bagdhad region. Of course just being in Iraq poses a number of dangers, but his environment should be relatively safe. As chaplain he will be holding services, but also spending a lot of time with the troops in his unit. He has a deep sense of call to this kind of work and has been yearning for years to be able to work in a setting like this. He told me that his unit will be assigned a school to work with - they will help rebuild it, they will befriend the kids, and all sorts of other things. It is good to hear that he and those with him will be doing this kind of re-building over there.

Check out hober.com for some good online music. My sister sent me the link with high recommendations.

UK got knocked out of the NCAA tourney. I am not a huge BBall fan, but since we live in a place where the BBall team actually could win the NCAA tourney, it is fun to follow them. They lost by one point. UAB outplayed Kentucky under the boards - they deserved to win. Still a bummer - it would have been cool to see them go all the way.

Did the online Myers-Briggs again. I am still an NT.

MY ordination to the priesthood will be in May - hopefully the 12th or sometime that week. I should know for sure before the end of this week.
