The Canon of St. Andrew

I picked up Frederica Mathewes-Green's book First Fruits of Prayer: A Forty-Day Journey Through the Canon of St. Andrew on the Canon of Saint Andrew. The Canon is a prayer from the 8th century that is traditionally prayed during Lent in Eastern Orthodox churches.

Mathewes-Green has divided the Canon into 40 sections with commentary attached to each section. It is designed to be read daily throughout lent. I think I will be using it as part of my Lenten practices.
