Celebrating Common Prayer

Of Late I have been using Celebrating Common Prayer (pictured below) to say the Daily Office. CCP is a self-contained prayer book drawing from the Church of England's newest resources. It is published by the Society of Saint Francis.

I like CCP because it is simple to use. This has made it a good version of the daily office to introduce to new practioners. A number of folks at our parish use it. I especially like the short (1-2 verses) scriptures readings appointed for each day. These lend themselves well for lectio divina.

I highly recommend it.
