Three Days and Counting

July 11 is the day the Church commemorates the life of Saint Benedict of Nursia -- the father of western monasticism. His ethos of an ordered, sustainable and corporate way of Christian discipleship has benefited many Christians. Notably, the Benedictine way has shaped Anglicanism especially in its manner of prayer book worship centered in daily office and weekly eucharist.

All that from a lowly layman. Lovely.

Hey -- that's right. No need for ordination to be a great and gifted missionary. Very cool point!
