Okay - rant day!! I am taking Hebrew right now. Can I say that I am not motivated at all to learn this? It seems to me that if I was going to master the language it would be helpful to learn all my alephs, vocal sewas and vowel reductions. But I am only taking one semester's worth - required by the venerable Asbury Theological Seminary catalog. I have now learned enough to read critical OT commentaries intellegently. So why do I have to kearn how to translate all this jive. As my five year old son says,"oh well, whatever, blah, blah, blah!!"
