BREAKFAST WITH THE BOYS

On Fridays I go to Waffle House with Dylan or Rees -- we alternate weeks. We have to leave while it is dark so they can get to school on time. This morning I slept in about 15 minutes too long and so I had to have a rain check with Dylan. He was very disappointed. We rescheduled for a coke at MacD's this afternoon. It is amazing how big a deal it is for those guys to just hang with dad. We have no agenda. We have no deep talks. We simply wolf down waffles, eggs, toast and hashbrowns, have small talk and then I drive Rees or Dylan to school.
I guess the little things are the big things.
