Johnny Cash died. A sad day. One of the greats of Rockabilly - that form of music that evolved into Rock and roll for some and country for others. He was part of the original Sun records group (that included Elvis Presley). Johnny went the country direction, but his brand of music was always edgy, visceral and heartfelt. A true artist.

I imagine the loss of his wife on top of his illness was just too much. Now he is reunited with his Lord and with his wife. I pray for the repose of his soul.

I am going to a Renovare conference in Louisville tonight and tomorrow. I am excited about it. It is about the Spiritual Formation and the Kingdom of God.
