Handel's Messiah -- An Advent Discipline

I bought the London Symphony's version of Handel's Messiah from i-tunes for $3.99. That's a pretty good deal. There are better versions out there, but I saved about twenty dollars on this one. Thanks go to Bryan Sherwood for the tip.

If you want a beautiful presentation of the story of Jesus as the fulfillment of God's promise to restore Israel from exile then the Messiah is the way to go. Handel's oratorio is basically the work of N.T. Wright set to music.

Get it and listen to it. You'll be glad you did.

Happy Advent!
